The Junior and Senior members of the James Monroe High School (JMHS) Student
Government Association (SGA) provided input to a recent “stakeholder” meeting hosted by the
Greenbrier Valley Development Corporation in Union on 18 April 2023. The intent of the
meeting was to solicit feedback from the community on future economic development in Monroe
County. The students who attended provided the perspectives of the future citizens and
workforce in our community. They were Student Body President Michael Fraley, Student Body
Vice President Luke Jackson, Senior Class President Braydie Carr, Senior Class Vice President
Luke Fraley, Junior Class President LeiAnn Richmond, and Junior Class Vice President Cole
Thomas.

efforts such as these and its annual James Monroe Day on 24 April 2023. If your organization is
