By RealWV staff,
After a tumultuous week, WVU chose longtime assistant Josh Eilert to become the interim men’s basketball coach following the resignation of Bob Huggins.
Eilert is a 42-year old with 15 years of experience at WVU under Huggins. He played at Kansas State from 2002-04 and began working under Huggins in 2007, following him to WVU. He was directly involved in assembling the school’s top recruiting class for the coming year. Reports indicate all of those players are likely to remain with WVU with Eilert at the helm.
Eilert and his wife, Brandi, have two sons, Brendan and Tristan, and a daughter, Emri.
