Free community picnic in Ronceverte today, 4-6pm

By RealWV staff,

The community is invited to attend a free meal today from 4-6pm in Ronceverte.

Located at 261 Locust Street, the free meal hosted by Ronceverte Presbyterian Church this month is taco salad, beans, rice, and ice cream. The church began offering these meals in early 2023 on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Guests may dine-in or carry-out. Tables and chairs will be setup in front of the church for outdoor dining. The doors open at 4pm and close at 6pm or when the church runs out of food. Locust Street will be blocked off to allow outdoor dining. Guests may park along Greenbrier Avenue.

“It’s completely free,” says Deacon Mark Gillespie, who organizes the meals. “We provide quality meals to bring the community together.”

The church generally feeds approximately 200 people every month. Each menu is announced the week of the meal.

If you have questions, contact the church at 304-647-4400.
