Free computer classes for veterans at New River
By RealWV Staff,
West Virginia veterans are welcome to attend free computer classes beginning in October. The classes are held on the campus of New River Community and Technical College. They meet once a week for eight weeks and provide veterans training in using computers.
“I teach the Intermediate class,” says Kristi Caraway, “and I believe Sharon Wolfe will continue to teach the Basic class.”
To sign up, veterans are asked to call Curtis Pauley at 304-646-0684. There is no charge for the classes.
Veterans Upward Bound hosts the classes. They are a program of the US Department of Education, assisting veterans with obtaining military transcripts, understanding GI Bill benefits, educational programs, financial aid, and time-saving access to veteran agencies.
