Greenbrier County’s Carol Evans, Nicholas County’s Terri Rodebaugh among those named as ‘Outstanding Democrats of the Year’

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The W.Va. Democratic Party’s annual Roosevelt/Kennedy Dinner was held at the Charleston Coliseum on Saturday, bringing party faithful from all across the state to the capital city.

In addition to remarks from State Party Chair Del. Mike Pushkin and House Minority Leader Del. Sean Hornbuckle, the evening featured an address from now-official gubernatorial candidate Mayor Steve Williams, as well as live performances from the Carpenter Ants.

As part of the festivities, 33 individuals were recognized as their county’s Outstanding Democrat of the Year. Award recipients include:

  • Susan Grubbs, of Boone County.
  • Katherine Morgan, of Brooke County.
  • Linda Childers, of Cabell County.
  • Pamela Garrison, of Fayette County.
  • Martha McCartney, of Gilmer County.
  • Carol Evans, of Greenbrier County.
  • Amanda Vincent, of Hampshire County.
  • Alesia Brogdon, of Hancock County.
  • Charlotte Atkinson, of Jackson County.
  • Lanae Johnson, of Jefferson County.
  • Jacob Hively, of Kanawha County.
  • John Harvey Clise (posthumously), of Lewis County.
  • Charles Frederick Curry, of Lincoln County.
  • Joey Garcia, of Marion County.
  • Rhonda Kaufman, of Marshall County.
  • Molly Park, of Mason County.
  • Vanessa White Wilkes, of McDowell County.
  • Polla McClellan Rumberg, of Mercer County.
