Registration now open for 2024 Emergency Services Conference at Pipestem State Park

PIPESTEM, W.Va. – The 2024 ESCAPe Emergency Services Conference will be held from Feb. 21 through 25 at Pipestem Resort State Park. The conference is sponsored by West Virginia Public Service Training – Beckley (WVPST), the Princeton Rescue Squad, AirVac 121 – Beckley, and Pipestem State Park. 

The conference will feature five days of classes and training, including Pediatric Basic Dysrhythmias, Tactical Considerations, Prehospital use of Supraglottic Airway Devices, SAR Reporting, Cardiovascular Physiology for the Critical Care Provider, and more. 

Events planned during the conference include a masquerade party hosted by Air Evac; “Lifelines, Laughter, and Lyrics,” hosted by the Princeton Rescue Squad; the Mountaineer State EMS Competition, featuring EMS trivia and escape rooms; a comedy night, and a concert performance by the band Fallen Rock. The Charleston Fire Department’s Health and Safety Officer, Captain David Hodges, will be the event’s guest speaker. A 26-year veteran of emergency services, Hodges received United States States Congressional Special Recognition in 2010 for actions performed at the Upper Big Branch Disaster.
