The Mountaineers (3-4, 0-1 Big 12) were forced to overcome obstacles throughout the meet, with their highest event score of the night coming on floor exercise with a 48.95. West Virginia added scores of 48.075 on vault, 48.225 on the uneven bars and 48.25 on balance beam.

Lewis finished in a tie for first on vault, while junior Brooke Alban’s career debut on the all-around (38.725) was good enough for first place.
In the fifth week of the Road to Nationals rankings, the Mountaineers rank No. 52 overall. Leading WVU’s event rankings is the floor lineup, coming in at No. 45 nationally. The floor squad has a season high of 49.25 and an average of 48.910.
