CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin, at a Wednesday press conference emanating from the Four Points by Sheraton on Kanawha Boulevard in Downtown Charleston, announced the much anticipated concert lineup for this year’s Sternwheel Regatta.

The four-day event begins on Thursday, July 3, and will feature reggae legend Shaggy as the night’s headline performer. The seven-time nominated and two-time Grammy winning Shaggy is best known for the hits “Boombastic,” “Angel,” and “It Wasn’t Me.”

In addition to the Fourth of July fireworks display, Friday night will showcase the skill and talent of the world’s most celebrated Beatles tribute band, The Fab Four. Known for their numerous costume changes, and heralded for their attention to detail, The Fab Four’s stage performance pays homage to every era of the Beatles legendary run. In 2013, the band received an Emmy Award for their participation in a PBS special.

For Saturday’s “Country Night” performance, Montgomery Gentry will headline the Moses Auto Group stage. Known for the hits “My Town,” “Some People Change,” and “Something to be Proud of,” Montgomery Gentry hold claim to five Billboard Hot Country number one singles. While Troy Gentry tragically passed away in 2017, Eddie Montgomery has kept his musical legacy alive through continued performances.

Sunday’s night’s grand finale will be a throwback to years gone by, when the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta presents “I Love the 90’s,” featuring Young MC, Tone Loc, Treach, and Vanilla Ice.

All shows are free to attend. Further concert announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
