Kate Boytek releases new single ‘House Fire,’ schedules summer concert series

By RealWV Staff,

On Saturday, June 22, singer/songwriter Kate Boytek will be a featured performer at the Playin’ Opossum Appalachian Music Festival, in Hurricane. Boytek will be joined by the Mikele Buck Band, Ducain, Bent Whiskey, and “The Appalachian Soul Man” Aristotle Jones.

Last week, fans of the Logan-native got a taste of what’s to come at the upcoming show with the release of Boytek’s latest single, “House Fire,” on all major streaming platforms. “House Fire” is the follow-up to the February release of “What if I Still Care?,” and last summer’s “Anywhere” – the music video for which has been in steady rotation on CMT since its August premiere.

Boytek’s appearance at Hurricane’s Appalachian Music Festival comes on the heels of a four-show run in Nashville, and kicks off her summer tour of the Mountain State.

On June 28, Boytek will join Lonestar on stage at the West Virginia Freedom  Festival in Logan. Boytek will be in Gassaway on July 6 for Gassaway Days, and appearing with Noah West at the Waterways Amphitheatre in Julian on July 13.
