RONCEVERTE, W.Va. – “We’re not going to be in hiding – we’re going to be out there answering questions and campaigning, and we’re not going to take anything for granted.”
That’s what Chairman Ben Anderson of the Greenbrier County Republican Executive Committee told RealWV Sunday, ahead of the opening of their Ronceverte campaign headquarters location.

“Even though some people may ask, ‘Why have a headquarters when the Republican party is doing so well?,’ That doesn’t mean we go into retreat,” Anderson explained. “This is actually the time that we lead by being visible, being present, and being there for our communities.”
The first of a planned two Greenbrier County Republican headquarters locations to open before the 2024 election, the county’s east-end site is situated in the old Fritzs Pharmacy building, on Seneca Trail in Ronceverte. The west-end location, currently planned to open within the next week, will be in Rainelle.
“In 2020, our Rainelle headquarters was actually our most successful,” Anderson noted. “Western Greenbrier has become the hub of conservatism really, for the Greenbrier Valley. It is not the most Republican area of our region.”

“The great thing about Rainelle is that you’ve got people coming from Fayette County, and up from Summers County,” Anderson added. “It’s a really good centralized location for those folks, and we’re really excited to open that location.”
According to Anderson, the opening of County Republican headquarters has become a “bi-annual tradition.” In 2020, the local party opened three locations, followed by a single location in 2022.
As for Sunday’s grand opening in Ronceverte, Anderson said that approximately 85 visitors paid a visit to the location – one which, due to its visibility, he feels is, “Probably one of the best locations we have ever had.”

“As you’re going north on 219, we’ve got plenty of Trump signs, and plenty of candidate signs to deck out the outside, and make sure that people know to come here,” Anderson explained. “This is their Trump headquarters to get their merchandise, and to get their signs for the yard to show their support.”
“This today is a great celebration of the fact that the Republican party is doing so well in West Virginia, and in Greenbrier County,” Anderson said.
Both the Ronceverte and Rainelle Republican headquarters will be open 12 until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday.
