‘Christmas Around the World’ fundraiser this evening in Fairlea

A local homeschool group is holding their second annual fair, “Christmas Around the World,” this Friday.

The Faith Community Co-op (FCC) is a homeschool group serving Greenbrier and surrounding counties for the past six years. FCC has classes for pre-school through high school, with over 75 children attending each week.

Their annual fundraiser is a fun event that is planned and executed by the students. Students run booths representing different nations, creating foods and crafts for attendees to sample.

This year, student booths will showcase 14 countries from Canada serving maple treats to Germany serving bratwurst. Tasting tickets will be sold at the door for $1 a piece and then can be used to purchase savory and sweet tastes from each country represented.

The event will be held at the Rhema Christian Center Life Center, 3584 Davis Stuart Road, Lewisburg, on Friday, December 6 from 4:30p-6:30p. Please direct any questions to faithcommunitycoop@gmail.com.
