CAMC announces promotions

Executive director for cancer services
Bev Farmer, RN, OCN, will lead oncology services for all Charleston Area Medical Center cancer center locations including Beckley, Charleston and Hurricane.
Prior to being promoted to executive director for cancer services, Farmer spent 19 years as director of the CAMC Cancer Center. She has been an Oncology nurse for 32 years.
Farmer began her nursing career in 1985 working at ARH South Williamson, Ky, Logan Regional Medical Center, Williamson Memorial Hospital and CAMC in various roles.
Farmer earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Southern WV Community and Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlin College of Nursing and is certified by through the Oncology Nursing Society.
Farmer lives in Scott Depot with her husband, David. They have two sons and two grandchildren.
Associate administrator for imaging services
Charleston Area Medical Center has promoted Steve Kirk to the role of Associate Administrator of Imaging Services. Kirk has 32 years of Imaging experience with 28 of those years in leadership.
Throughout his career, Kirk has served in various roles including a frontline imaging technologist and leadership at the hospital level and system level.
Born in Michigan, Kirk grew up in West Virginia graduating from Logan High School.
He received a degree in Radiologic Technology from Bluefield State College.
