Best local hardware stores in West Virginia?

It’s springtime, which means everyone is working on those projects you thought about all winter. Whether you’re servicing lawn equipment, starting a DIY project in the kitchen, or fixing that leaky faucet, we all go to the same place–our favorite local hardware store.
Why do we go there? Because the folks behind the desk are always welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. If we tell them what we’re working on, they’ll ask us to follow them to a certain aisle and find exactly what we need.
Local hardware stores are often unsung heroes of small towns across the state. They combine the personal and professional skills needed to solve problems large and small.
As a salute to the hard-working men and women of hardware stores, we here at RealWV asked you last week to nominate your favorite local stores (no big box stores or chains allowed) for the “Best Local Hardware Stores in WV.”
And boy oh boy, did you ever do just that! Our readers sent in over 250 nominations representing 37 local hardware stores in all parts of the state. Here they are:

Congratulations to all 37! You are helping local customers each and every day, so much so that they are recognizing your efforts for others to see. While we celebrate all 37, we want to know which local hardware stores are the very best.
Over the next week, we will place polls on our Facebook page, breaking down those 37 stores into groups of 9 or 10 stores at a time. The Top 10 will move onto the semifinals, and then the Top 5 will be recognized.
Reader votes alone will determine the winners. So if you like to enjoy a Saturday morning biscuit and coffee at your local hardware store, make sure all your buddies there vote too.
