Ronceverte River Festival returns Friday & Saturday

The Ronceverte River Festival returns this coming Friday & Saturday, June 13-14!
“The Ronceverte River Festival is immensely excited for its 2025 lineup,” says Ben Anderson, member of the planning committee. “After being on the precipice of ending in 2018, the River Festival has made a steady comeback, both financially and in attendance. Much of this is due to exponentially increased business and grant funding, as well as leveled-up entertainment.”
Organizers say they’re particularly excited about this year’s musical headline, Walker Montgomery. He’s the son of country star John Michael Montgomery.
One new addition to the festival this year is the Ducky Idol Karaoke Contest. Anyone can enter by emailing duckykaraoke@gmail.com or by coming to pre-registration at the Amphitheater starting at 6:30 Friday the 13th.

Grand Parade
The festival begins with a parade on Friday night at 7pm. Lineup on the Island Park is set for 530pm. Here are the ground rules:
Winners for the following categories will receive trophies.
Antique/Classic Car: Classic automobiles and trucks more than 20 years old.
Street Rod: Vehicles that have been modified. May be new or old cars and trucks.
Motorized Miscellaneous: This category is a catch-all. It will include ATVs, motorcycles, and new unmodified cars.
Walking Group/Civic Organization: All groups walking or riding an undecorated vehicle that represent a business, school, team, etc.
Fire Truck: We will award this trophy to the Fire Department with the prettiest truck.
Horse drawn/Equestrian Adult: This is for riders and carriages over the age of 12.
Horse drawn/Equestrian Youth: This will be for riders and carriages 12 and under.
Tractor/Farm Equipment: If it is used on a farm, it probably goes in this category.
Queens: This category is for all the ladies representing Pageants and Festivals throughout West Virginia. We appreciate what you do! (Ronceverte Queens may not compete)
Emergency Services Vehicles
The Winners for the following category will receive CASH PRIZES.
Float: Entries in this category must be decorated trailers or flatbed trucks.
First Place Prize is $300
Second Place is $200
Third Place is $100
Judges will determine what is considered a float.
