Concord will face Glenville State in Summersville this fall

By Concord Sports,

ATHENS – The Concord University football team has found out its location of a road game against Glenville State October 18.

Glenville State Athletics released a schedule late last week that the Concord-Glenville State contest will be played at Memorial Stadium in Summersville, West Virginia. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m.

Glenville State is being forced to play all 11 games away from its on-campus field, Morris Stadium, this fall due to construction and renovations of the entire complex situated at and around Morris Stadium.

Memorial Stadium is home to the Grizzlies of Nicholas County High School and is situated just off Route 19 in the south-central part of West Virginia. Summersville and Memorial Stadium are approximately 90 minutes from Concord’s campus—cutting the travel time for the Glenville State contest in half of the normal three-hour ride to GSU.

Concord’s game versus Glenville State is sandwiched between home dates against West Virginia State (October 11) and West Virginia Wesleyan (October 25).

Additional kickoff times and information will be released by the end of July.
