Presbytery of West Virginia names Rhodes communications coordinator in restructuring
PRESS RELEASE
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Kristin Rhodes will join the Presbytery of West Virginia staff as communications coordinator, a new position created as it begins to implement structure under a new strategic plan.
Rhodes, a self-described “passionate storyteller,” holds a Master of Science in human resource management and two bachelors degrees, one in business administration and marketing and a second in business administration management.
“As I join the Presbytery of West Virginia, what most excites me is the opportunity to share stories of what makes congregations so unique and members so special, while ultimately highlighting the love of Christ in all that is created,” Rhodes said.
A dedicated communications professional, Rhodes spent nearly a decade with the Marshall University Foundation as the program director of communications, where she developed and served as the editor of multiple publications and oversaw their social media presence. She has also written reports for the State of West Virginia and operates a small photography business. She will begin her duties in mid-September.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to work with Kristin,” Transitional General Presbyter and Stated Clerk Maureen Wright said. “She brings fresh ideas from her expertise and experience that will allow the Presbytery of West Virginia to use communication as a broad resource supporting relationship building and our churches.
Rhodes resides in Scott Depot, with her husband, Seth, and their sons, Solomon, Isaiah and Ezekiel. She is most likely found watching her sons play baseball or basketball, baking or running.
The Presbytery of West Virginia is regional governing body of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) with 110 congregations throughout West Virginia, excepting the two panhandles.
