Vandalia Health partners with WV American Water to offer mobile mammogram services in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Vandalia Health Charleston Area Medical Center is partnering with West Virginia American Water to bring the CAMC Mobile Mammo Unit to offer convenient, walk-in mammogram screenings to the public.
The unit will be parked at West Virginia American Water, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Charleston, (in the parking lot directly across from the West Virginia American Water building), Monday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
CAMC’s Mobile Mammography Unit provides a fast, easy and confidential way for individuals to receive a screening — an important step in early breast cancer detection. This community-focused event is open to the public. No appointment is necessary.
You may be eligible for a mammogram if you are a woman aged 40 and older, have not had a mammogram in the last 365 days, are not pregnant or breastfeeding and are not experiencing breast issues such as lumps, discharge or pain, you are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity for early detection of breast cancer.
The CAMC Mobile Medical Fleet is staffed by experts and equipped with the same state-of-the-art digital imaging technology as you would get at a CAMC imaging facility for quick, convenient and accurate screenings.
