CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Mountain Stage drummer Ammed Solomon celebrated another trip around the sun in style Friday, with an all-star performance at Taylor Books.
Joining Solomon for the celebration were Charleston’s “chicken fried gospel and soul” supergroup, The Carpenter Ants – featuring Solomon’s Mountain Stage house bandmate Mike Lipton, Jupie Little, Ted Harrison, and Mark Bates – and Mr. “Some Kind of Wonderful” himself, West Virginia’s very own living legend, John Ellison.
