Free meals in the Greenbrier Valley this weekend

By RealWV Staff,

In light of a lapse in the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, three Greenbrier Valley establishments are offering free meals this weekend.

On Saturday, Nov 1, Old School Brewing Co. is serving free hamburgers and hot dogs from 5-6pm. They are located on Main Street in White Sulphur Springs.

On Sunday, Nov 2, Rainelle Medical Center is serving spaghetti from 1-3pm or while supplies last. They are located at 176 Medical Center Drive in Rainelle. The meal is being held in the community room.

On Monday, Nov 3, the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home is also serving a spaghetti meal. Pickup meals will be available from 12-5pm or while supplies last. They are located at 331 7th Street in Rupert.

This coming week, the Lunch Box in White Sulphur Springs will also continue offering their free LB Lunch, no questions asked, for anyone who is hungry. A full story on their program is coming on Monday.

If you would like to report additional free meal opportunities across the state of West Virginia, please email us the details at news@therealwv.com.
