PEIA plan year 2027 input needed, statewide public hearings scheduled for November

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Following an Oct. 23 meeting, the Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA) Finance Board has announced a series of public hearings regarding plan year 2027 benefits (benefits from 7/1/26 – 6/30/27 and 1/1/27 – 12/31/27 for Medicare members).

To be discussed is a proposed 3% aggregate premium increase for employees and employers, an average family tier spousal surcharge increase of $200, changes to Plan D (including an increased deductible), and more.
