Vandalia Health breaks ground on Neuroscience Institute

Neurologic disorders Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Epilepsy and Multiple Sclerosis and others are a significant health challenge in West Virginia.
Vandalia Health is building a Neuroscience Institute to expand neurological capabilities such as on-site testing and comprehensive neurological care under one roof.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held, Nov. 11, commemorating the start of construction of the Vandalia Health Neuroscience Institute across from the main entrance to Vandalia Health CAMC General Hospital in Charleston.
The three-story 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art institute will combine neuroscience specialists into one space for team-based patient care, educational instruction, research support, patient management and other critical functions.
Two floors will be used for neurology and neurosurgery clinics, infusion and diagnostic space. The third floor will be a shell space for later development.
The Vandalia Health Neuroscience Institute is expected to cost $25 million and open in the fall of 2027.
