Ice, ice baby — Almost Heaven hath frozen over

Winter Storm Fern dropped several inches of snow followed by multiple inches of ice last weekend across southern West Virginia. With temperatures staying well below freezing ever since, a valley usually lush with rolling hills has been covered with a thick layer of ice.
