Local Quaker group featured as guest speakers at Maxwelton church

MAXWELTON, WV — A local Quaker group, which meets regularly in the Greenbrier Valley, will be featured as the guest speakers at “Unity Sunday,” a special church service intended to bridge the gap between different faith groups. Wood Bouldin, Deni Elliot, Theresa Frazer, Bonijean Isaacs, Scott Womack, and Linda Zimmer are part of the Greenbrier Valley Worship Group, which is part of the Society of Friends, and will speak during Unity Sunday about the traditions and beliefs that brought them to their faith.

Clifton Presbyterian Church is hosting the event on Sunday, February 15, at 11am as part of their morning worship service. A soup luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. All are invited to attend.

Clifton began hosting Unity Sunday under the leadership of Rev. Ron Miller, with the intention of focusing on the things that united people of faith as opposed to the things that divide them. Past speakers include Rev. John Unger, Dr. Joseph Evans, and Rabbi Victor Urecki.

Clifton Presbyterian Church is located on 219 North, just past the entrance to the Greenbrier Valley Airport. Ample parking is available.
