LEAD OUR TEAM: RealWV now hiring an Editor

In three years, RealWV has grown from a brand new startup to one of the state’s most respected sources for news and culture in West Virginia. Last week alone, our stories reached 1.5 million people on social media, nearly the total population of our great state.

That is thanks to our team and our readers! There is a real hunger for independent, community news. People just want to know what’s going on, and our team to provide that news is expanding.

As announced last week, we are hiring an Advertising Sales Agent to help us tell more stories and secure our long-term future.

Now, we are also excited to announce that we are hiring an Editor to lead our website, writers, and newsletter. This part-time position includes flexible hours, remote work, a competitive salary, travel reimbursement, and the opportunity to lead a rapidly-growing and respected news outlet.

The successful candidate will have experience in writing, editing, and managing others, be comfortable working in a remote and collaborative manner, and hold strong community credibility.
