PHOTOS: Blackwater Falls Cardboard & Duct Tape Sled Race

Take a look at the photos from the 13th annual Blackwater Falls Cardboard and Duct Tape Sled Race, now known as the Paulita Cousin Memorial Cardboard and Duct Tape Sled Race in honor of Paulita Cousin, who founded the race and passed away this past year. The event was hosted by Blackwater Falls Park Service and Friends of Blackwater at the Blackwater Falls Sled Run in W.Va. on Feb 28, 2026. 

Held once a year during the winter months, the race chooses a theme each year for contestants to dress up and design their sleds. This year the theme was 1980’s Rock Bands.
