Carnegie Hall presents ‘Celebrating Women’ on March 18
PRESS RELEASE

Lewisburg, West Virginia – Carnegie Hall invites the community to “Celebrating Women,” a warm and welcoming gathering honoring Women’s History Month and the generations of women who have shaped our nation, our communities, and our lives. Held on Wednesday, March 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Carnegie Hall’s Museum Gallery, the event offers an opportunity to celebrate women and those who led the way.
Guests will experience the Smithsonian Institution’s poster exhibit Votes for Women, which broadens visitors’ understanding of the American women’s suffrage movement. Through powerful imagery and historical context, the exhibition highlights the leaders, everyday activists, and pivotal moments that helped secure voting rights and expand civic participation for women across the United States.
The evening will also feature complimentary nonalcoholic beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar. All are welcome to attend.
RSVPs are encouraged and may be made by calling (304) 645 7917 or emailing boxoffice@carnegiehallwv.org.
This special event is held in conjunction with the Sweet Honey in the Rock performance and talkback (March 20) and the Introduction to American Sign Language Workshop (March 14). Support for these events is made possible in part by an ArtsConnect Grant through Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation.
