Nicki Fridley Wolfe

Nicki Fridley Wolfe is an elementary school teacher at Ronceverte Elementary, but as one of her colleagues notes, she’s also so much more!

In addition to caring for her classroom of kids each day, she goes above and beyond connecting the school with the community in various ways. She is a coach on the school archery team and the leader of “Trout in the Classroom.” It’s a partnership between the school, the White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery, WV Department of National Resources, and the Greenbrier Valley Sportsman’s Alliance where kids help hatch, raise, and then release rainbow trout into local streams.

Nicki’s colleagues say she always goes the extra mile, including coming to the school to care for the fish on snow days and weekends so that the kids could enjoy the educational experience all year long.

For her dedication to learning, we are proud to name Nicki Fridley Wolfe as the certified Real West Virginian of the Week!
