MORGANTOWN, W.Va — Take a look at photos from the Red Bull Chariot Race in Morgantown, W.Va., which was held on High Street this past Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026.
The Red Bull Chariot Race is a traveling competition that is stopping in nine U.S. cities during 2026. Many cities on the tour have a major university within their limits. The event in Morgantown over the past weekend featured homemade chariots, with teams of three or four racing down a straightaway without their chariots falling apart.
At the other end of the course, both teams face a puzzle. Once the puzzle is complete, another team member switches in to ride the chariot, and both teams race back to the finish line.
The team with the fastest time wins the competition and is crowned the Morgantown Red Bull Chariot Race champion, taking home $1,500 and 60 cases of Red Bull energy drinks.
