State Fair of WV offers daily craft demonstrations

By RealWV staff,

Each afternoon, visitors to the State Fair of West Virginia are treated to free craft demonstrations. The events are held at the grandstand-side entrance to the West Virginia building.

“All the departments in the West Virginia building share the stage,” says Gloria Tuckwiller, who is a volunteer leader. “We just really want to encourage people to attend and try to learn something new!”

Craft demonstrations are hosted by professionals representing different types of arts & crafts from across the state. They prepare craft projects in front of a live crowd. The aim is to provide inspiration fair-goers can try at home.

Here’s the full schedule of craft demonstrations currently booked for the remainder of the fair:

  • Sunday, Aug 11: Paint parties with Kelly LaCava at 5pm
