WVIFF TO HOST ANNUAL OSCAR PARTY

The West Virginia International Film Festival (WVIFF) will host their annual Oscar Party on March 15 at Taylor Books in Charleston, WV. This annual fundraiser supports year-round programming produced by WVIFF, including monthly screenings and events at the Floralee Hark Cohen Cinema located below Taylor Books, and annual festivals and events around the Capital City.

Attendees will enjoy a large screen viewing of the 98th Academy Awards, light bites from Bricks & Barrels, sweet treats from Mia’s Panaderia, a loaded popcorn bar, games, giveaways, live music by Woodbine Duo (6-7pm red carpet), and more.

*Best evening attire or extravagant accessories are encouraged, but casual dress is still sure to impress.

This annual event supports WVIFF programming throughout the year. The West Virginia International Film Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit,with the mission toinspire a love of cinema through diverse and inclusive films at regular screenings at the Floralee Hark Cohen Cinema, festivals, and other events.  The Floralee is Charleston, WV’s only non-profit independent movie theater, screening foreign, local, documentary, and indie films in an intimate 30-seat setting. In 2025, six Oscar-Nominated films were screened exclusively by the WVIFF at the Floralee in Charleston. These films have 20 combined nominations at this year’s awards.
