Herd falls in marathon match to Old Dominion

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall and Old Dominion went the distance Sunday afternoon at the 7827 Tennis Center, but ultimately fell, 4-3. After the Herd and the three-time defending league champions battled for over four hours, the Monarchs came away with the decisive third set in the decisive sixth singles match.

The Herd picked up singles victories from Johanna Strom, Polina Gumeniuk, and Nour El Ouazzani, but dropped all its singles matches in three sets.
