Greenbrier Humane Society hosts ‘Shop, Meet, Adopt’ cat & kitten adoption event at Walmart

LEWISBURG, W.Va. – Greenbrier Humane Society invites the community to Shop, Meet, Adopt, a special cat and kitten adoption event taking place on Saturday, July 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Walmart Supercenter in Lewisburg, located on the grocery entrance side of the store.

With nearly 200 cats and kittens currently in the Humane Societies care, Greenbrier Humane Society is working to connect more adoptable pets with loving families while bringing animal adoption directly into the community.

The event is part of the shelter’s ongoing efforts to reach individuals who may not regularly visit the shelter or follow its social media channels. By meeting people where they already shop, Greenbrier Humane Society hopes to introduce more families to the wonderful cats and kittens waiting for forever homes.

Visitors will have the opportunity to:

• Meet adoptable cats and kittens.
• Learn about the adoption process.
• Speak with shelter staff about responsible pet ownership.
• Find their newest furry family member.

“This event is about more than adoptions – it’s about connecting with our community,” said Logan Morgan, Community Liaison for Greenbrier Humane Society. “Summer is one of the busiest times of the year for animal shelters, especially during kitten season. By bringing our adoptable cats into the community, we’re creating new opportunities for people to meet them and helping more animals find the loving homes they deserve.”
