Scott Womack

Scott Womack is a veteran, an educator, and the fiercest advocate that the students of Monroe County could ever ask for. Scott retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, and now teaches Spanish, French, and German at James Monroe High School.

In addition to his responsibilities as a teacher, Scott works with the Model UN and the Student Government, and serves as an advisor to the Youth Leadership Alliance. He is also the assistant coach of the recently established James Monroe High School Lady Mavs golf team.

On April 1, in just its second season, Scott helped guide James Monroe’s inaugural Academic Showdown team to a fourth place finish in the statewide competition.

For his unbreakable commitment to the students of Monroe County, and his unwavering dedication to educating the youth of our state, we are proud to name Scott Womack as the certified Real West Virginian of the Week.
