CHARLESTON, W.Va. – It’s back to classes, back to books, and back to teacher’s welcoming looks for the students at Piedmont – Charleston’s year-round public elementary school. After their month-long summer vacation, all 260 students are due back in class on Wednesday. But before expanding their minds with another year of learning, the young Piedmont Panthers enjoyed one more full day of summer fun.

On Tuesday, Piedmont held its first annual Back to School Bash for students and their families. The Foam Garage provided a bubble-foam machine for the children to play with, Read Aloud West Virginia handed out free books, and the Keep Your Raith Corporation provided free fresh produce. In addition, the Mountain Care Network, as well as Piedmont staff and volunteers were on-hand with snacks, treats, and goodies.
