Jim’s Drive In wins BEST BURGER in the New River & Greenbrier Valleys

We started with 40 nominations for the best burger across the New River & Greenbrier Valleys. Our readers began voting…and narrowed it down to the Top 10….followed by the Top 5…and now we have a winner.

After more than 6,000 votes were cast, Jim’s Drive In of Lewisburg, WV, emerged from a tightly contested final with the victory. They squeezed by Black Circle Bistro (Beckley), Southside Junction Taphouse (Fayetteville), Jimmie’s Restaurant (Princeton), & Secret Sandwich Society (Fayetteville).

“This is awesome!” says Elizabeth Massie, who owns Jim’s along with her family members. “We have the best customers ever and the community really supports us.”

Why do people like Jim’s burgers so much? “It’s fresh,” Massie says. “We use local meat from Mountain Steer and it’s never frozen. We patty it everyday fresh. Every burger is made to order.”

What’s the most popular burger on the menu? “The Ranch Burger. It has ham, purple onions, sweet pickles, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise.”

Last year, Jim’s also won the Best Hot Dog in the Greenbrier Valley.

So which do they sell more of, burgers or hot dogs? “It’s a close race between our burgers, hot dogs, and BBQ,” says Massie. “Plus the hand-cut fries!”
