Adam Harris & Michael Valentine
Very few in West Virginia can match the level of passion that Adam Harris and Michael Valentine have for live performance. From Mountain Stage to the Good Time Show – from Lewisburg’s Carnegie Hall to Huntington’s Foundry Theatre – Adam and Michael work tirelessly to share that passion with their fellow Mountaineers, and make live performances accessible to everyone.
If it is happening on a stage, Adam – executive producer of the aforementioned Mountain Stage – is quite probably behind the scenes managing the chaos. Last December, Adam collaborated with Michael when he served as stage manager on “The Good Time Christmas Carol,” a role he would again take on for April’s West Virginia Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. But despite his resume – and his knack for bringing some of the world’s most talented musicians to West Virginia – Adam is perhaps never more within his element than when he is promoting and ring announcing local pro wrestling shows, much as he did with the hugely successful and massively-attended “Bash in Beckley” earlier this month.
On the same night that Adam was entertaining families with the legends of wrestling in Raleigh County, Michael was doing the same thing on West Virginia’s left coast with the third annual “Good Time Kids’ Show” – albeit substituting wrestlers for a collection of some of West Virginia’s most artistically-talented performers. A fully interactive, immersive, and musical experience for the whole family, the Good Time Kids Show once again delivered a top-notch night of no-cost fun for the whole family. And Michael, as has always been the case, was the driving force behind every aspect of the production.
For their unwavering passion for live performance of all kinds, and their tireless efforts to bring those performances to West Virginians all across the state, we are thrilled to name Adam Harris and Michael Valentine as the certified Real West Virginians of the Week.
