Jamison Sizemore

Have you ever wondered how the scenery outside your window stays so pretty all the time? How the grass is always cut and the trees always trimmed? Or maybe, you’ve spent hours pondering over how the ice gets cleared from the sidewalk on a frigid winter morning.

Well if you’re like most of us, you’ve never paid any attention to any of those things. In fact, the only time we ever really think twice about them is when they don’t happen. But this necessary work doesn’t do itself – there’s teams of dedicated, hard working people who make sure it gets done.

Jamison Sizemore is one of those people, and his team ensures that WVSOM’s sprawling Lewisburg campus stays accessible, safe, and beautiful for students, faculty, and passersby. And with last week’s rain threatening a ceremonial groundbreaking during the school’s first ever “Bio” event, it was Jamison’s co-workers on the maintenance crew who seamlessly moved the celebration to a dry location.

But beyond his professional responsibilities, Jamison is a husband, father, and all-around great guy – quick to lend a hand, and to offer help wherever help is needed.

For everything that he does to keep the Greenbrier Valley green and beautiful, and for being a good example of what a friend should be, we are pleased to name Jamison Sizemore as the certified Real West Virginian of the week.
