House of Delegates applaud continued Fidelis investment

PRESS RELEASE:

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The business climate in Mason County continues to propel business announcements the West Virginia House of Delegates is happy to applaud.

“These two major announcements today would not be possible without the work of this Legislature going back at least two years,” said House Speaker Roger Hanshaw, R-Clay. “Make no mistake, the things we do and say out on that floor matter, and when we set about inventing a new economy, putting jobs first, ensuring opportunity everywhere, we did so knowing the world would take notice.”

Fidelis New Energy and 8090 Industries announced early this morning American Intelligence & Power Corp. (AIP Corp.), will develop a new power platform based in Mason County to anchor and support consistent energy needs at 8GW capacity to power developments in the area.

Just this afternoon AIP Corp., Caterpillar Inc. and Boyd CAT announced a purchase agreement for natural gas generators capable of generating 2 gigawatts of electrical power to support the initial development phases of AIP Corp.’s Monarch Compute Campus in Mason County.

“We absolutely value our state’s long-time businesses that stay and grow, but we’re especially excited today to have multiple announcements from a company that came to us years ago, willing to take a chance and choose West Virginia,” said House Finance Committee Vice Chairman Clay Riley, R-Harrison. “We needed to demonstrate that we could make decisions and move quickly; we did that and then some.

“The moves we’ve been able to make have led us directly to this point of momentum.”
