Big Blue set to play in CIAA tennis championship

Petersburg, VA – Bluefield State University women’s tennis advanced to the CIAA tennis Championship matchup after taking down Johnson C. Smith 4-1. The Big Blue will face Shaw University at 3:00 p.m.

The Big Blue secured the doubles point with Ekin Ozmen and Adriana Torroba taking the win at Doubles No. 1, 6-2 and Isabella Disibbio and Raajitha Koganti taking Doubles No. 3 due to WO.

In singles, the Big Blue clinched the match with victories at singles No. 1, No. 4 and No. 6. Ekin Ozmen took Singles No. 1 with scores of 6-2 and 6-4. Anna Felip claimed Singles No. 4 6-0, 6-2 followed by a win at Singles No. 6 for Isabella Disibbio due to WO.
