The Herd fell to Louisiana 11-1 in seven innings at DADOS Ballpark.

“Today we obviously weren’t good enough. I thought Louisiana played a really good ball game. They had a good plan offensively and they deserved to win today’s baseball game,” Herd Baseball Head Coach Greg Beals said.

Jackson HalterMason Onate and Clearly Simpson all singled in the ballgame.

MU tallied the first run of the game in the top of the first as Tyler Kamerer reached on a one-out hit-by-pitch. Halter then singled with Ragin’ Cajun centerfielder Noah Lewis making an error allowing Kamerer to score making it 1-0.

Louisiana answered with three runs in the bottom of the first on RBI singles from Lee Amedee and Drew Markle along with a Marshall error as MU trailed 3-0.

Then in the bottom of the third, the Ragin’ Cajuns extended its lead to 6-1 on an RBI single from Owen Galt and a two-RBI double from Mark Collins.
