Historic Cemetery Tours

Lewisburg, West Virginia – Carnegie Hall invites the community to step into Lewisburg’s storied past with Historic Cemetery Tours: The Stories Beneath the Stones, presented in partnership with the Greenbrier Historical Society. As part of Carnegie’s annual Hall-O-Ween programming, these guided candlelit tours offer a rare opportunity to explore sections of two of Lewisburg’s historic cemeteries and uncover the remarkable lives—and unforgettable legends—of those laid to rest there.

Led by knowledgeable staff from the Greenbrier Historical Society and brought vividly to life by community actors portraying resident “Haunts,” each tour blends archival history with local lore. Guests will learn about notable grave markers, fascinating biographical details, and the mysteries surrounding some of Lewisburg’s most intriguing interred. The evening concludes at The North House Museum with a private viewing of a seasonally themed historical exhibit.
