GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Men’s Golf will attempt to duplicate the success attained in the 2025-26 season with the addition of five newcomers. The most recent Pioneer squad won three tournament titles, placed four golfers on the All MEC team, earned a bid to the NCAA Atlantic East Regional and sent one individual onto the NCAA National Championship in Las Vegas.

This Glenville State squad posted a (98-45-2) season record, averaged 296.3 shots per round while finishing just two shots out of a trip to the NCAA National Championship. The 98 wins were the second in the Atlantic Region and the three tournament titles are the third most tournament championships among regional institutions.

Freshman Hector Arriaga also put together a nice start to his collegiate career by winning three individual medalist titles. He captured the Sunnehanna Collegiate, Bluefield State Intercollegiate and the Bedford Springs Invitational. During the course of this run, Arriaga posted a second-round score of 64 (-6) at Sunnehanna. The 64 is thought to be the lowest competitive round of golf posted by a Glenville State golfer throughout the history of the program.

The five newcomers entering the Glenville State squad this fall include three in-state products along with an additional two international student-athletes. Some accomplishments associated with the incoming golfers include:
