Downtown Charleston transforms into a winter wonderland for ‘Holly Jolly Brawley’

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Downtown Charleston is getting into the Christmas spirit this weekend, with two days of holiday fun. With bounce houses, face painting, and giant slides on Capitol Street, artists and vendors up and down Summers Street, and the Brawley Walkway resembling a Norman Rockwell painting, there’s something merry for the whole family.

Artists and vendors, beautifully-decorated Christmas Trees, and a snow machine also line the Brawley Walkway. Not to be outdone, Slack Plaza more closely resembles the North Pole than the City Center, with a giant snow globe that the little ones can takes pictures inside of, and the City’s official Christmas Tree. Live music was also featured on Friday, and will continue all afternoon on Saturday.
