By Stephen Baldwin, RealWV
The Lewisburg Winter Music Festival returns January 24-25 at seven different locations throughout America’s Coolest Small Town. After more than 100 bands applied to play shows, organizers have released the full lineup.
“There will definitely be something for everyone,” says organizer Josh Baldwin. “Everything from country and bluegrass to classic rock and jambands.”
Here’s the full lineup of shows spread across two days at locations including Washington Street Pub, The Sweet Shoppe, The Asylum, The Lewis Theatre, The Wild Bean, & The Briergarten.
Full festival schedule

Southern West Virginia favorites such as Alabaster Boxer, Kindred Valley, Matt Mullins & the Bringdowns, Hello June, Steel Pterodactyl, & the Jared Stout Band will light up the cold winter nights on the Lewisburg stages.
All venus are located in downtown Lewisburg, a short walk between each, allowing ticket-holders to pop in and out of venues across town throughout the series of shows.
In addition, you won’t want to miss the students of Greenbrier East High School’s “2nd Block Rock” under the direction of Jim Allder playing a free show at the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center on Saturday from 6-8:45pm.
Southern Appalachia Musician’s Association
The festival is run by the board of the Southern Appalachia Musician’s Association. The board includes a variety of musicians and nonprofit workers: Josh Baldwin, Jason Johans, Nick Cornwell, Amy McIntire, Sarah Driggers, Philip McLaughlin, Nathan Seldomridge, and Tim Pyne.
Board members are volunteers who do not receive compensation for their work. They are recognized by the state as a nonprofit and awaiting 501c3 status approval. While sponsorships and ticket sales fund the project currently, they aim to receive grant funding in order to support local musicians and causes.
Their goal is to support local musicians and foster music education in the region.
How to get tickets or volunteer
Tickets are available now via the festival website. A $30 ticket will get you in both days, or you can pay $20 for a single day pass.
