Lewis County Community Town Hall to be held April 22
PRESS RELEASE:
“Appalachians at Work”, a newly-formed community advocacy group in Lewis County with growing members and regional support, has recognized the need for engagement with elected officials and is excited to announce the first LEWIS COUNTY COMMUNITY TOWN HALL of 2025 will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at West Hall, 206 E 2nd Street in Weston, co-sponsored by Bluejay Rising.
Elected Representatives serving constituents in City, County, State, and National positions have been formally invited to attend the event.
Lewis County Commissioner Agnes Quinn Queen will be the Moderator. She emphasized her commitment to local engagement representing “the People’s Party,” focusing on community needs regardless of political affiliation. “Our priority is serving the people,” said the Commissioner. “We’re facing unprecedented challenges that affect every resident, regardless of political background.”

“This Community Town Hall will give the residents a chance to come together to hear Legislative Highlights and Community Updates from elected representatives. This is an inclusive event that represents all political affiliations. Just as tragedies do not care which political party you are registered with, enacted policies also don’t care if you voted or not,” said organizing member Andrea Gum Vincent.
Live music, informational community presentations, a voter registration table, and refreshments will be provided.
The Community Town Hall on April 22nd is open to the first 150 guests and it will be live-streamed across all major platforms for those who are unable to attend.
