Law enforcement called to remove non-student from Eastern Greenbrier Middle School bus

RONCEVERE, W.Va. – The first day of school came to a unexpected end for a bus full of Eastern Greenbrier Middle School students on Monday, as the intervention of law enforcement was required to resolve a confusing situation.
Greenbrier County School officials released the following statement shortly after 4 p.m.:
“This afternoon, an unexpected situation occurred involving one of our school buses. A minor, who was not an Eastern Greenbrier Middle School student, was escorted from a bus at EGMS by local law enforcement. At no time was the safety of our students or staff compromised. The issue has been addressed and the individual will not be on the bus in the future. We understand that incidents like this can be unsettling, and we appreciate your continued trust and partnership as we work to ensure the safety of every student in our care.”
