Tyler Childers wins Grammy for Country Song of the Year
By Stephen Baldwin, RealWV
Ladies and gents, Timmy did it! After seven previous nominations for the prolific picker from Kentucky, last night proved to be the night for Tyler Childers at the Grammys. He won Country Song of the Year for “Bitin’ List” off his latest album Snipe Hunter.
The song is a somehow light-hearted-yet-infuriated rant about who you’d bite if you ever got rabies. A thought that had only come in dreams until you heard the song. Once it does, you’ll sing it to that person who’s high on your list over and over again.
To put it plain, I just don’t like you
Not a thing about the way you is
And if there ever come a time I got rabies
You’re high on my bitin’ list
