WVU Tech competes at WVU Last Chance

Women’s and Men’s Track & Field
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — WVU Tech wrapped up the 2026 outdoor track and field regular season Saturday at the WVU Last Chance meet, highlighted by another hurdle victory from freshman Isaac Agee, a new school record in the women’s 800 meters, multiple top-three finishes in the throws and continued momentum heading into the NAIA National Championship.
Men’s Highlights
Agee once again led the way for the Golden Bears, winning the men’s 110-meter hurdles in 14.77. The freshman continues to build on a record-setting outdoor season after already establishing a new school record in the event earlier this spring with a 14.36.
Freshman Ralph Aaron Etaba Ateba added another strong sprint performance for WVU Tech, placing fifth in the men’s 400 meters with a time of 51.30. Freshman Iain Furman posted a 28.93 in the 200 meters.
Women’s Highlights
Freshman Rebecca H. Lorincz added another school record performance for WVU Tech, running 2:27.61 in the women’s 800 meters to establish a new program mark.
Sophomore Abigail Holley turned in three top-three finishes in the throwing events to lead the women’s squad. Holley placed second in the shot put with a mark of 7.31 meters (23-11.75), third in the discus at 15.90 meters (52-2) and third in the hammer throw with a season-best mark of 18.82 meters (61-9).
Freshman Tianna Duncan posted a personal-best performance in the 1500 meters, finishing second overall in 6:24.27. Freshman Jadyn Farmer added a seventh-place finish in the women’s 400 meters with a time of 1:04.70.
A Strong Outdoor Season
The 2026 outdoor season marked another major step forward for WVU Tech track and field, as the Golden Bears combined for 11 outdoor school records across the spring campaign.

What’s Next
Isaac Agee will represent WVU Tech at the NAIA National Championship in the men’s 110-meter hurdles on May 21 in Asheville, North Carolina.
