Make your own seasonal jewelry at Carnegie Hall

PRESS RELEASE

Lewisburg, West Virginia – Carnegie Hall invites creative minds to celebrate the beauty of the autumn season with Colors of the Harvest: Make Your Own Jewelry!, a beginner-friendly jewelry-making workshop led by artisan Connie Gottshall on Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Inspired by the warm, rich colors of fall, this hands-on class offers participants the opportunity to design and create their own custom jewelry while learning basic jewelry-making techniques.

During the workshop, participants will select from an array of beads and finishing accessories, including pearls, mixed metals, ceramic beads, and natural stones, to create unique pieces that reflect their personal style. Whether crafting earrings, a bracelet, or a necklace, students will discover how color, texture, and design come together to create beautiful wearable art. No previous experience is necessary, making this an ideal introduction for beginners as well as a fun creative experience for those looking to expand their crafting skills.

For those that want to add a little early holiday shine to their weekend, Instructor Connie Gottshall is also teaching a second hands-on workshop, Holiday Sparkle!, on Saturday, December 5, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fun for a group holiday event and perfect for anyone looking to make a personal gift for someone special this year, this workshop will offer participants a dazzling array of pearls, crystal and glass beads to create their own seasonal sparkle.

Both workshops are open to participants ages 14 and older and limited to 12 students. The registration fee is $25 per person, with an additional flat-rate materials fee paid directly to the instructor based on the project selected. Materials fees are $15 for earrings, $25 for bracelets, and $35 for necklaces.

The Make Your Own Jewelry Series is part of Carnegie Hall’s ongoing Classes & Workshops, which provide engaging opportunities for community members to explore new artistic skills, connect with fellow creatives, and experience the joy of making something by hand.
