SNOWSHOE, WV — At an elevation of 4,848 feet, the air may be a little thinner at Snowshoe Mountain, but the smoke will be thick this July 24-26 when Speedfest returns to town.

The signature 3-mile hillclimb race will be run in three classes, allowing competitors with elite performance from grassroots participation to participate. Participant spaces are limited to 125 registrations and cost $395 for the weekend. (Tech and safety specifications will be included when signing up online.) To sign up, visit here: https://westvirginiaspeedfest.com/register-for-wv-speedfest/

Organizer Aaron Bambach says, “The races are open to all skill levels of automotive enthusiasts. Beginner to expert,
street vehicles to race vehicles. All are welcome! For anyone wondering if they have what it takes to participate in an event, we offer a free Rookie Orientation Program on Thursday prior to the event weekend with instruction from professional drivers.”

For those who want to witness speed on the mountain climb, spectator tickets are also available for $30. They can be purchased via the same link as above.

Lodging at Snowshoe Mountain Resort is available for an additional cost. For discounted booking rates, please contact Snowshoe Resort at (877) 441-4386.

Bambach says there’s something for everyone at the event. “Participants and spectators will find everything that makes for an exciting weekend–thrilling competition, amazing cars, great food, live music, a festival atmosphere, and spirited, scenic drives open to the public.”
